Rite Aid

I have always enjoyed a nice scoop of ice cream and since I was a little kid we always went to Rite Aid for a scoop of this frozen delicious treat. I decided to visit the Rite Aid located on Redondo and Anaheim and see how this Rite Aid stacked up with others in the area. First, when I arrived there were a lot of parking spots but some sketchy looking people wandering around the parking lot and asking for money.

I decided to lock my doors twice and walk in to the store. The service to get ice cream was speedy and the employee was very friendly. This Rite Aid was stacked with everything from bouncy balls to laundry detergent. Their selection of personal items was huge and will definitely be coming back for all my personal hygiene products. The prices here on alcohol were very cheap and recommend this place for all your partying needs. This Rite Aid was very good except for the location and some not so friendly people in the parking lot.

Royal Buffet

Located right off the 405 freeway is the Royal Buffet Chinese restaurant. There is ample parking in the parking lot and my friends have raved about this place. Upon arrival I noticed there were tons of food and sushi throughout the restaurant and couldn’t wait to try it. The food was decent for the price you pay, but like many buffets you get what you pay for. They had everything from crab legs to fresh fruit and everything in-between.

The customer service I thought was good and added to the experience. Overall this would not be my top choice for sushi or seafood but if you want a buffet experience and try a little bit of everything head over to Royal Buffet.

Tutti Frutti

When it comes to frozen yogurt I am a connoisseur. So when I decided to try Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt on Willow street in Signal Hill it had some high standards to live up to. Tutti Frutti has multiple locations throughout the Socal area and on my way home from Costco I saw the place and decided to stop in and try the frozen yogurt.

Upon arrival and entry I noticed the place was clean and had a nice aura to it. I was greeted by a smiling employee and got my cup and looked at the array of frozen yogurt. The handles were clean and there wasn’t an overflow of frozen yogurt on the floor like a few other places ive been too. I decided on the plain yogurt flavor and loaded up on the toppings. Overall this place was good and enjoyed my yogurt to the fullest. So if you are out in Signal Hill on a hot day and want some fast and good frozen yogurt, give tutti frutti a visit!

Wienerschnitzel

Wienerschnitzel is an American fast food chain founded in 1961 (as “Der Wienerschnitzel”) that specializes in hot dogs, but is currently expanding to other items. Wienerschnitzel locations are found almost exclusively in California and Texas, though others are located in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Washington state. There is also a store in Guam.

Few foods hold the cultural significance of the great American hot dog. From ballparks to airports to home kitchens, hot dogs are one of America’s favorite foods. When I was doing the research on this location I realized that somewhere down the road they dropped the Der off the front of the name.

It is easiest to recognize a Wienerschnitzel by the stores pitched roof and the drive through is located in the middle of the building. The Wienerschnitzel in the photos below is not one of those locations.

Baskin Robbins On Atlantic & 37th St

A timeless classic, I have been coming here for years and tonight I stopped in for a kid sized coffee ice cream. I didn’t want to get a huge cup of anything so I wondered if I could pick something up that was small and almost bite sized. I was expecting that not to be the case but as it turns out they had exactly what I was looking for.

My best advice for Baskin Robbins is to go at night time. This place tends to be over run with loud little kids and typically is not suitable for adults that just want to grab some ice cream and relax while eating it.

The shop was nice and clean, the two gals working the counter were friendly but not overly friendly if you know what I mean and I had a good experience here.
