Recently I went up to Staples Center to check out a Los Angeles Clippers game. I have been a clippers fan for quite a a few years now and since the prices are a lot more reasonable than Lakers tickets, I decided to go big and get some nice seats down in front.
I ended up sitting in Section 111 Row 5 which was right in the middle of the court and it was a great place to watch the game. In the past I have bought tickets behind the baskets and as the action is really good on one end of the court, it is very hard to see what is happening on the other side.
When I go to a Clippers game I always take the Blue Line so I can drink without worrying about driving home and I don’t have to worry about parking. I take off from the Wardlow Blue Line station and it takes about a half hour to get to the Chick Hearns / Pico Blue Line Station. From the station it is a short walk to the arena. It will probably take you 5 minutes.
The whole La Live area by Staples Center is so nice compared to what it used to be, but I would have to say that I mainly like this place because it is so easy to get to on the train.
Anyway the Clipper played the Trailblazers and the Clippers one the game by about 20 points which was awesome. I got to see the Clipper Stripper which is this guy that comes to all of the Clipper games and jumps up and down until he gets on tv and then he strips off 13 or so Clipper jerseys which is always entertaining to watch.
I am saving up my money so I can go pick up another one of these really nice seats in the middle of the court. No more behind the basket seats for me!
