While on a recent relaxing vacation to the Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes I discovered the oasis known as the Cielo Point Pool. This pool is an amazing place to take a dip or grab a refreshing pool-side cocktail. This adult pool has a full service bar and all the amenities you could ask for. The pool is very clean and well maintained and even was set at a balmy and comfortable wading temperature.
I enjoyed my cocktail while taking in breathtaking views of Catalina and the rolling hills of Palos Verdes. There are even cabanas to go along with the usual beach chairs that surround the pool. This pool is only open on Saturday and Sunday so you must check it out on the weekends only. The food, view, and drinks are delicious and amazing at the Cielo Point Pool and is a must see on your weekend to-do list! Even dogs are welcome as well to join you on your weekend visit to this amazing one-of-a-kind pool experience

Due to my recent take up of the sport of golf I have been trying to find a nice driving range to visit and practice my swing. I recently visited Majestic Golf Land which is located on Orange Avenue in Signal Hill and got to experience a truly unique golfing experience. The awesome thing at this location is they have an automatic teeing system which does wonders on straining to bend down and put a ball on a tee after every swing.
The pro shop is fully stocked and the employees are super helpful with all your golfing needs. The driving range has an awesome layout and they have some great deals on range balls and the prices aren’t too bad. If you want to improve your swing or even just start to take up the game of golf, head to the Majestic Golf Land for a wonderful golfing experience.

Veterans Stadium is a football stadium that is rich in local history dating back to its opening in 1948. Recently I decided to check out the stadium which is located on the Long Beach City College campus off Clark Street. The stadium is pretty massive and seats over 11,000 people. What is unique is there is only one grand stand on one side of the stadium so all the viewing and fans are on one side.
There are standard aluminum bleachers and also stadium seats as well which make it accommodating to many different individuals. This stadium is home to many local high school football teams and the Long Beach City College football team too. While this stadium is no Cowboys Stadium, it has been part of Long Beach history for almost half a century and has seen many great games and athletes grace its presence. Check it out for any of the local high school football game action all fall and winter long.

Carl’s Jr. is a powerhouse in the fast food industry with many locations throughout Long Beach and southern California. I recently visited the location on Bellflower Boulevard for some breakfast. When I arrived the location was clean and the service was good but that was about it. When I received my breakfast burrito and sandwich it didn’t look anything like how it did on the big picture on the menu.
The burrito looked like it was sweating and fresh from the microwave. The sandwich was not good and just gave me a stomach ache after eating. I am not sure what the deal was there but I suppose you win some and you loose some and in this case I ended up feeling a little sick. I did not contact Carl’s Jr. about this because in all fairness I did eat other food that day but sometimes you just know.

Ever since watching the Italian Job I have had a big time fascination with the Mini Cooper. I recently visited Long Beach Mini in the Signal Hill Auto Mall. The place is open every day of the week and during the week they are even open late, till nine at night. I arrived on the lot and was greeted by a friendly but not pushy salesman who was really good at educating me about the new and used mini coopers on the lot. I was very intrigued by the four door mini cooper with its sleek styling and design, and unique four door option.
This mini was called the countryman and even had four-wheel drive! I even envisioned myself racing up to the mountains in this car and even if it snowed, I would be good because of the awesome four-wheel drive. There were lines and lines of mini’s and after looking for thirty minutes I told the salesman I was just looking and he was very nice and didn’t pressure me into looking at more cars. Overall this place is the spot to go to for your next mini cooper, with friendly staff and a huge selection Long Beach Mini is your place to get your new fast and fuel efficient mini cooper.

Vans have been a classic for decades and I was very excited to see they put in a Vans store on 2nd street in Belmont Shore. I was excited to check out this location for their new OTW collection of dressier vans shoes. The location is right on 2nd street so unless you have change you will have to park on the side streets, which can be a walk. I ended up finding a spot about 5 minutes away and made my way into the beautifully designed Vans store.
Instantly when you walk in you are greeted by rock music and a framed Christian Fletcher model Stretch surfboard. The layout is very cool too with a skate shop with decks and wheels next to clothing and shoes on the far wall. Overall it is a great store and its employees are friendly and provide great service. So next time you are in the market for some new vans head on down to the Vans store in Long Beach for unbeatable selection and great customer service. They even have the nice OTW collection in stock so check them out!

When recently visiting the Grove in Los Angeles I decided to get a bite to eat at a favorite of mine, The Cheesecake factory. It is a very popular restaurant, it was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. When you walk around, there is actually some pretty awesome décor throughout the restaurant. Our server was very professional and was attentive to all of our needs.
I started out with a Caesar salad which was great and the presentation on the white porcelain plates was very nice. My entrée the shepherd’s pie was through and through absolutely delicious. I did not try any of the cheesecake but next time I come, I will definitely try what they are famous for. The cheesecake factory is a tad pricey but you get what you pay for. The Cheesecake factory at the Grove is a top notch restaurant to check out for lunch, dinner, or even just for a slice of their world famous cheesecake.

Throughout the years Toyota has known to be a reliable car that you can depend on. With this in mind, I decided to check out some new Toyotas at Cabe Toyota located on Long Beach Blvd. I pulled into the dealership and the sight of the rows upon rows of new and used cars was overwhelming. I was in the market of looking for a new or used Tacoma and there were plenty of different models and colors to choose from.
The car salesman greeted me and wasn’t too pushy and gave me some great information on the different models of the Tacoma. Overall, it was a very stress free environment which was unique to the car buying process. If you are in the market for a new or used Toyota head on down to Cabe Toyota and you will have all your Toyota wants and needs fulfilled.
Cabe is located just across the street from Long Beach Memorial Hospital and its situated on a few lots along Long Beach Blvd so if you are not watching you could drive right past the office.

Urban Outfitters is the hipster superstore for kids in Southern California. The store is located at Fashion Island in Newport Beach and upon arrival, this store was quite unique. Little trinquets and unique items were stashed throughout the store and shot glasses and PBR beer mugs were also thrown into the mix. I was in the market for some new jeans and due to my large thighs anything close to skinny jeans won’t even fit above my kneecap.
I searched and searched and they personally only found that they only had super skinny, skinny, and slim fit jeans. Not stoked. They did though have a ton of unique books that made me laugh and wonder if this place was a hybrid clothing store/adult toy store/ hipster hangout. Overall, this place didn’t do it for me, but I do know it would be awesome for a majority of the southern California youth looking for their skinny jeans and a new pair of vans.
